2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, on servers located within the European Union. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.
Each time the site is accessed, the server automatically records information in server log files: the IP address of the requesting device, the time of access, the page requested, the volume of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer), and the browser and operating system used.
The purpose of this processing is the technical delivery of the website and ensuring its technical security and stability. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and functional operation). The log files are deleted after a short period, unless they are needed to investigate security-relevant incidents.
3. Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies for analytics or marketing purposes and does not embed any tracking or analytics services. Fonts are loaded locally from our own server; no external font, map, or CDN services that would transmit your IP address to third parties are embedded.
4. Contact by e-mail
If you contact us by e-mail, we process the information you provide (in particular your e-mail address and the content of your message) in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the request relates to the conclusion or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
5. Appointment booking
To arrange an introductory call, we use the self-hosted appointment scheduling software Cal.com at termin.danielpapcke.com. It runs on the same server infrastructure within the European Union (Hetzner); no transfer to third parties or third countries takes place. When you book an appointment, we process the data you provide (in particular your name, e-mail address, and the selected time) in order to organise and confirm the call. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures). The appointment data is stored in a likewise self-hosted calendar and deleted once it is no longer required for scheduling purposes.
6. Video calls
Sessions and conversations that take place online are conducted via the self-hosted video conferencing software Jitsi Meet, which runs on our own server infrastructure within the European Union. No transfer to third parties or third countries takes place. During a video call, the data technically required for it is processed (in particular audio and video transmission as well as connection data such as the IP address). Calls are not recorded. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (conducting the call or the agreed service).
7. Newsletter (EFT impulses)
If you sign up for our “EFT impulses” email newsletter, we process your email address in order to send you the content. Sign-up uses the double opt-in procedure: after you enter your address, you receive an email asking you to confirm; only after your confirmation do we add you to the list. This ensures the sign-up genuinely came from you.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link at the end of every newsletter email; this withdraws your consent for the future. For proof, we store the time of sign-up and confirmation.
We use the self-hosted software Listmonk for sending, running on our own server infrastructure within the European Union (Hetzner). No transfer to third parties or third countries takes place.
8. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR).
9. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HmbBfDI), Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 22, 20459 Hamburg, https://datenschutz-hamburg.de .
